Healthcare-ID Announces a Marketing Alliance with AimaSys

Healthcare-ID announces a marketing alliance with AimaSys to offer an automated process for data management between Healthcare-ID's Donor-ID WebTM screening software and blood center donor management systems using the eDMR software accessory developed by AimaSys.

eDMR is an automated information transfer system that inputs blood donation information into blood management systems, eliminating the need for data to be transferred manually. This, in turn, reduces data entry time and improves data accuracy, resulting in fewer deviations and FDA reportable events. eDMR provides a new data management option for Donor-ID Web
TM
customers.

"AimaSys is excited to be working with Healthcare-ID to assist its current and future customers to provide interfaces between Donor-ID and their diverse BECS back-end systems," stated Jeff Urbanczyk, Vice President of Products and Solutions at AimaSys. "At AimaSys, we are focused on using proven, commercially available software and development tools to build interfaces like eDMR and other solutions that help the blood industry run their business in a leaner, more productive way while strengthening the integrity of their data and processes."

"Memorial Blood Centers is very excited to incorporate AimaSys eDMR in its blood donor medical record data entry process", stated John Buske, VP Finance and CFO at Memorial Blood Centers in St. Paul, Minnesota. "Based on internal tests, AimaSys' eDMR is expected to significantly decrease donor medical record processing time and data entry errors." Memorial Blood Centers is planning on going-live with AimaSys eDMR in July, 2011.

Healthcare-ID is a leading provider of blood collection software, whose products are used to track and manage more than 7 million units of blood annually. "We are thrilled to form a partnership with AimaSys," said Bryan Sadorf, Vice President of Product Management at Healthcare-ID. "We are always focused on the needs of our customers, and feel that this collaboration is a very positive step in our continuing efforts to integrate our software with other blood center information systems."

About AimaSys

AimaSys is a software solutions organization that uses commercially available software and development tools to build interfaces for the automation of manual processes between regulated and non-regulated computer systems for blood collection organizations. The interfaces we build improve efficiencies while focusing on the safety and quality of donor information and processes. When working with regulated systems, we provide an accessory to a medical device following the BECS guidance.

AimaSys eDMR is a software solution, Class I Medical Device Data System (MDDS), that provides an automated process which interfaces with the existing manual data entry of blood donor records (BDRs) resulting from the blood collection process. By interfacing between a donor screening system and a back-end Blood Establishment Computer Software (BECS) application, eDMR seamlessly inputs BDRs into your BECS application. eDMR provides quality management and record management by allowing for intelligent human interaction to manage exception data records that cannot be processed automatically based on blood center business requirements.
